Benefits of Membership

When you join the Central Coast Medical Association and California Medical Association, you hire a powerful professional staff to protect the viability of your practice. By protecting your practice from legal, legislative, and regulatory intrusions, your membership lets you focus on what’s really important: your patients.

CCMA Benefits

  • Publications such as the Central Coast Physicians magazine and Membership Directory provide information on local and statewide medical issues and encourage collegiality and professionalism among physicians.
  • Office Managers receive a monthly electronic newsletter focusing on practical issues encountered by the office staff. This newsletter provides information on new or updated compliance laws and general hints to make the practice run smoothly.
  • Mailing labels (one set complimentary per year) containing physicians’ office addresses are available to each member.
  • Professional/Collegial activities provide opportunity for physicians to be involved in political activities and to meet with colleagues for business or social purposes.
  • Practice management workshops such as OSHA and MediCare workshops are offered locally.
  • Office staffing is made more convenient for members who choose to use CCMA’s resource file of applicants who would like to work in a physician’s office or medical clinic.
  • 1000+ physician referrals are given per year by the CCMA office when patients need referrals to a doctor or request information about physicians listed on their health plans. CCMA provides information about members ONLY.
  • Trusted insurance advisors for your personal and business welfare are available through The Doctors Company and Mercer.
  • Maintaining relationships with state legislators who represent you. This contact allows CCMA to educate and influence our representatives when medical issues are debated and voted on in the state legislature.
